Does a pickle fork hull perform differently from traditional?

I see a lot of pickled forked bow riders on my lake. I'm considering the Captiva MTX. Do these perform any differently on the water vs. traditional hulls?

Hi @Boater1969, welcome to the community.
The pickled part of the bow is out of the water when you're underway and so there's minimal impact on performance. What you're getting is more room up front in the bow.
